Enhances Particulate Control
Evaporative Gas Conditioning (EGC) is a technique for conditioning flue gas prior to electrostatic precipitators or fabric filters to reduce gas volume, lower the temperature, and improve particulate collection. Finely atomized water is evaporated in the gas stream to lower its temperature and raise the moisture content.
Benefits of MicroMist EGC Electrostatic precipitator (ESP)
- Reduced gas volume and velocity
- Increased humidity
- Increased specific collection area
- Increased particle migration velocity
- Lowered gas viscosity
- Decreased rapping reentrainment
Fabric filter (FF)
- Reduced gas volume and pressure drop
- Allows use of lower-priced filter media
- Decreases air-to-cloth ratio
- Improves filter cake characteristics
