Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (Wet ESP)
Compact, High-Velocity Advanced Wet ESP Technology for Superior Particulate Control
EnviroCare’s Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (Wet ESP) is a compact, high-velocity module engineered for superior fine particulate and aerosol removal. Developed by our highly experienced engineering staff, this advanced technology integrates directly into the shell of the MicroMist Scrubber for efficient, space-saving installation.
As more states require wet ESP as Best Available Control Technology (BACT) for final cleanup on wet scrubbers, EnviroCare offers a proven solution. Because the MicroMist Scrubber typically meets emission limits on its own, the follow-up Wet ESP can be sized smaller than units required for other scrubber systems, reducing capital and operating costs.
EnviroCare holds US Patent #4,194,888 for this unique and highly effective wet ESP technology.
How The System Works
Gas Entry
Flue gas from the upstream scrubber enters the Wet ESP module, where residual particulates and aerosols remain suspended in the saturated gas stream.
Electrical Charging
Proprietary electrode design generates a strong electrical field that imparts a charge to fine particles and aerosols as they pass through the precipitator.
Particle Collection
Charged particles migrate toward grounded collection surfaces, where they are captured and removed from the gas stream with high efficiency.
Continuous Cleaning
Water continuously flushes collection surfaces, removing captured particulates and maintaining optimal collection performance without downtime.
Clean Gas Discharge
Conditioned, cleaned gas exits the Wet ESP module, meeting stringent emission requirements for fine particulate and aerosol control.
