MicroMist Marine Scrubber

Scalable Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Designed for Every Class of Vessel

MicroMist Marine is a family of technologically advanced, cost-effective ship scrubber systems. Our scalable Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS) are designed and configured for each vessel class while utilizing the same patented scrubber technology that has made EnviroCare the industry leader.

MicroMist Marine Scrubbers address all current maritime environmental regulations, including NOx, SOâ‚‚, particulate matter, acid mist and visible plume requirements. Our systems operate in open loop, closed loop or hybrid modes and are compatible with all engines, NOx reduction systems and shipboard infrastructure.

Every MicroMist Marine system features built-in automation hookups for plug-and-play operational monitoring, delivering a robust, reliable solution engineered specifically for maritime applications.

How The System Works

Quench Stage
Exhaust gases are quenched to saturation, eliminating the bulk of large particulates. Recycled alkali solution significantly reduces acid gases, including SOâ‚‚.

Atomization Stage
Aerosols and particulates are drawn into negative pressure flow fields created by unique HydroMistâ„¢ nozzles. Fine atomization produces a large surface area for liquid-to-gas contact, improving SOâ‚‚ absorption and generating optimum droplet size for submicron particulate collection.

Jet Venturi Stage
A highly efficient Jet Venturi stage removes remaining acid gases and large particulates while capturing some submicron particulates. This stage generates draft simultaneously, offering visible plume reduction without pressure loss or back pressure on the engine.

MicroMist (MMV) Stage
The ultra-efficient MMV stage removes remaining acid gases and virtually all particulates, including submicron particulates, at ultra-high efficiencies. This stage completely eliminates visible plumes and provides the ultimate pollution control solution to meet current IMO regulations and anticipated stricter particulate limits.

Separation Stage
A high-efficiency separator stage removes dirty droplets containing collected particulates from the exhaust gas stream.

Mercury Reduction and SOâ‚‚ Polishing Stage
Using novel Sorbent Polymer Composite (SPC) materials, this optional stage provides mercury reduction and SOâ‚‚ polishing capabilities with reduced water consumption. The low pressure drop design optimizes fuel flexibility and accommodates special operational requirements.
