EnviroCare’s Mercury Retort Furnace safely and efficiently recovers mercury from gold ore concentrates through controlled thermal vaporization. The system thermally vaporizes water, mercury and zinc present in gold ore precipitates using electrically heated processing, then captures and condenses mercury vapor for commercial resale.
How The System Works
Gold ore concentrate, pre-conditioned through leaching and filtering, is placed into metal retort boats and loaded into the furnace. PLC-controlled thermal radiation elevates processing temperatures to vaporize mercury, which is then drawn through a water-cooled condenser via vacuum where vapors become liquid mercury ready for collection and sale. Uncondensed vapors flow through an advanced scrubber system ensuring complete compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
